Our History

Life Ministries was founded by Pastor Harold Ray in 1969 as The United Pentecostal Church of West Salem, Ohio. In 1984 the church relocated to Medina, and Ed and Mina Nichols were elected to assume leadership of the Church. Since then, the church has grown out of two locations in Medina and one in Rittman. Eventually, six acres were purchased on Krabill Road in Rittman where our current facilities were built.

On July 7, 2024, after pastoring the church for 40 years, Pastor Ed Nichols officially transitioned to Bishop (overseer), and Assistant Pastor Brad Carpenter was installed as the Senior Pastor of Life Ministries with the unanimous blessing of the congregation.
